ABOUT US Sheridan First Baptist Church was started as a mission of Landmark Baptist Church of Anderson, Indiana in the spring of 2007. The mission work is located in the heart of Sheridan, Indiana. Sheridan is a bucolic community that is the epitome of small-town-USA. Located in Hamilton county, this historic rural town, located about 40 minutes north of Indianapolis, boasts a population of just about 3,000 people. Many of the residents are farmers while the rest commute to the downtown area or one of the growing suburbs. The slow pace of life and the charm of living in this town are like a visit to yesteryear. However, this is soon to change. Hamilton county and small towns like Sheridan lie directly in the path of the northward expansion of the urban sprawl of Indianapolis. Hamilton county has been much in the news lately as one of the fastest growing counties in the nation and also as one of the best in which to raise a family. This makes Sheridan an attractive destination for families to move to with their young children. It also makes Sheridan the perfect location to grow one of God’s New Testament Baptist churches and to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ..
